Welcome to Genesis. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Genesis application ("the App") and related services provided by StableVersionApps. We have written these Terms to be transparent about how our relationship works — please read them carefully.

By downloading, installing, or using Genesis, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. About Genesis

Genesis is a personal productivity and AI-powered assistant designed to help you manage notes, tasks, documents, reminders, and more — all with a privacy-first, local-first approach. The App is built to keep your data on your device, giving you full control.

2. Intended Use

Genesis is designed for lawful, personal productivity purposes. We trust our users to use the App responsibly. You agree to:

• Use Genesis for personal note-taking, task management, document organization, and AI-assisted productivity.
• Respect applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction while using the App.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or exploit the App's code or AI models for harmful purposes.

Each user is responsible for the content they create, store, and manage within the App. Since Genesis operates locally on your device, the content you create remains entirely under your ownership and control.

3. AI-Generated Content

Genesis includes on-device AI features (voice transcription, AI assistant) powered by open-source models. While we strive for accuracy, AI outputs are provided as helpful suggestions and should not be treated as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. We recommend verifying important information independently.

4. Service Availability & Reliability

We are committed to delivering a stable and reliable experience. However, like any software, Genesis may occasionally encounter issues. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• AI transcription and assistant outputs may occasionally be inaccurate.
• Notification and reminder delivery depends on your device's operating system and settings.

We strongly encourage maintaining regular backups of your important data using the App's built-in export features.

5. Your Data, Your Responsibility

Because Genesis stores all data locally on your device, you are the sole custodian of your information. We do not have access to, nor can we recover, your data. This means:

• If your device is lost, damaged, or reset, locally stored data may be unrecoverable.
• Regular use of the App's backup and export features is recommended.
• Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all associated data from your device.

6. Intellectual Property

The Genesis App, its design, code, branding, and documentation are the intellectual property of StableVersionApps. Genesis leverages open-source technologies (attributed in our Privacy Policy), and we respect the licenses under which they are distributed. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App or its proprietary components without prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

The App or our website may contain links to external websites or resources. These are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StableVersionApps and its contributors shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, data loss, device issues, reliance on AI outputs, or any outcomes resulting from how the App is used.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StableVersionApps, its developers, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or any activity conducted through or in connection with the App.

10. Termination

You may stop using Genesis at any time by uninstalling the App. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time. Since the App operates locally, existing installations will continue to function independently.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India, unless mandatory local laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

12. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect improvements, new features, or legal requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
